Dog Elimination Exercise

IT IS HEREBY NOTIFIED: That pursuant of sections 5 and 6 of the Dog control Act and Section 67 of the Public Health Act Chapters 247 and 295 of the Laws of Zambia, respectively, it is illegal to keep Dogs, Cats, Monkeys and similar pets that are not Registered with the council as the Local Authority.

Mufulira Municipal Council will be conducting the Dog elimination exercise for all unvaccinated and unregistered Dogs. Therefore, all residents who vaccinated and registered their dogs are reminded to secure their dogs within their premises and also have their dogs' vaccination certificates and registration certificates on site for easy identification by officers.

The exercise will commence on 13th June, 2022 and will run until 1st July 2022. Further, be informed that residents who missed the registration exercise are advised to register their dogs/pets before 20th June, 2022 at a prescribed fee of Fifty Kwacha (K50.00) per dog.
